Happy Name Day Calliope!

The Church celebrates the Martyr Agia Calliope today, who was admired for her beauty and her rich spiritual and intellectual gifts. She devoted her life to Christ and was subjected to terrible tortures and finally beheaded for her faith under the reign of Emperor Decius in the 3rd centurry.

Do not forget to call every Calliopi you know today, to wish them well on their Name Day, saying “Hronia Polla ( Χρονια Πολλα) in Greek!
