The Church celebrates the Apostles Peter and Paul today, two of the most prominent figures in Christianity. Peter was a fisherman, one of the twelve disciples of Jesus and is recognized as the first Bishop of Rome. Paul was a Jewish scholar and Pharisee who initially opposed the teachings of Jesus, but became a missionary. Together, their teachings and contributions have helped to shape the Christian faith and inspire countless believers around the world.
If you do know anyone named Paul or Peter, dont forget to call them to wish them well, saying “Hronia Polla ( Χρονια Πολλα) in Greek!
